Tabili: Nigeria’s First Print-on-Demand Book Service

How do independent authors avoid investing in excess print runs? The Society of Young Nigerian Writers has answered that question with their initiative named Tabili.

This initiative will give young African writers more ease in their publishing endeavours. Now they can dedicate more of their funds to marketing and publicity, printing only when readers demand for copies.

Tabili’s prime ambition is to ‘create a more reliable distribution system for African authors’. Their platform will expose authors to a global audience without them spending excessively on each book project.

It grants authors affordable quality printing and publishing of their pet projects. Thousands of writers who need quality, affordable book printing and distribution of their works now have an ally in Tabili’s print-on-demand option.

Readers will also have easy access to a wide range of quality books that will meet their reading needs through the organisation’s website, www.tabili.com.ng.

According to the President of SYNW, Mr. Wole Adedoyin, ‘The print-on-demand service ultimately ensures our authors’ titles are never out of print as we will only print copies when a buyer visits our website and orders copies. It also enables authors to fill a simple form on our website and within ten to fourteen maximum working days receive a printed copy of their book at their doorstep. These we believe will prevent authors from losing a fortune to printing thousands copies of their books with self-publishers scattered across the globe.’
